X-Men Writer Reveals Daredevil MCU Reboot is in Development

For months, there have been rumors and speculations that Daredevil will be making his return in the MCU through Spider-Man: No Way Home as well as in other MCU projects with Charlie Cox reportedly reprising the role. While Marvel Studios haven't confirmed it yet, there is evidence that suggests that there is a possibility for it to be true. Now, it looks like we have a confirmation that the rumor might be true after all (at least according to a writer of a past Marvel movie).

Per Small Screen, during the MCM London Comic Con event, X-Men writer David Hayter was asked about which character he would like to helm over at Marvel Studios. However, he might have slipped that the studio is actually currently working on a Daredevil reboot.

He said, "You know, they're doing a reboot of Daredevil and Daredevil was always a very important character to me, and I loved the, I loved the first way they did it. But there’s certain things that I, you know that I want to adapt from the Frank Miller run on Daredevil that really meant a lot to me. Um, I, yeah, I, I mean, that’s that’s really the one."

It should be noted that Hayter is currently not working at Marvel Studios (at least that we know of) and the studio hasn't officially confirmed it yet so we have to take this with a grain of salt. However, there have been rumors that the MCU is planning to integrate Daredevil soon so there is a chance that what Hayter said might be true and he probably heard it from someone who is close to Marvel Studios.

There have been rumors that Cox's Daredevil will be showing up in Spider-Man: No Way Home which hasn't been confirmed yet (although a recent leak suggested otherwise) as well as the upcoming series She-Hulk and the Hawkeye spin-off Echo. Of course, Marvel is being secretive as usual so we don't expect them to make any confirmation anytime soon.
