When Disney finally acquired the Fox property in 2019, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been eager to see the X-Men finally come to Earth-616 and while Kevin Feige himself has confirmed that Marvel Studios is working on a reboot, we still have no idea when exactly the mutants will make their presence felt in the billion-dollar franchise. However, we're getting our first taste of mutant action in the MCU via Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which will feature a cameo appearance by Patrick Stewart aka Professor X.

It's safe to say that Stewart's involvement in the project will just be a one-off but that's not to say that other actors from the now-defunct Foxverse can't crossover to the MCU full-time. Just take for instance Ryan Reynolds who will officially mark his debut as the Merc with a Mouth in Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3. While the idea sounds promising, one actor from the X-Men film franchise doesn't seem interested in reprising her role for the reboot.

Alexandra Shipp, who played Storm in the X-Men "prequels" recently spoke with ComicBookMovie and while she didn't directly say that she wants no part of the MCU, the actress implied that her take on Ororo Munroe wasn't accurate enough. Shipp hopes to see a Storm with a much darker complexion in the MCU, saying she's always wanted to see it. Alexandra explains: "I think it’s about time that we see that representation, and I’m more than happy to see that. I think it would be really great. The little girl in me would really like to see that."

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Shipp reprise her role as Storm in the MCU because I thought she did great despite Fox's X-Men "prequels" being a colossal failure with the fans. But hey, if she thinks she's no longer a fit for Marvel Studios' adaptation of the mutants then I guess it's time for somebody else to step up.

Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot is currently under development.
