X-Men: Dark Phoenix International Trailer is Here

It looks like X-Men: Dark Phoenix is going to be the final film from Fox before Disney swallows it whole so this is technically a swan song for this version of Marvel's uncanny mutants. Sadly, fans have been pretty apathetic to Dark Phoenix, thanks to delays, reported production problems, and some generic trailers. The International trailer of this movie is a little better than previous efforts but if you've already decided to hate this, Fox's latest preview won't impress you.

We get to see how Jean Grey becomes incredibly powerful, along with the scene that was spoiled by director Simon Kinberg; the death of Jenifer Lawrence's Mystique. From that point on, things escalate to a crazy degree, with a heel turn from Beast and a huge power play from Magneto, who believes that Jean should be killed.

There are a few scenes that feature Jessica Chastain's mysterious character, who is trying to groom Jean into embracing the cosmic entity. This is probably what results in her wearing the odd Dark Phoenix costume that was first seen in X-Men: The Last Stand, since people apparently liked that outfit.

Fans are split when it comes to this movie. Some want it to fail since these characters are coming to the MCU anyway. There are also those that want it to succeed since we got great X-Men films like First Class and Days of Future Past, the latter of which was Avengers quality.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out on June 6. Will it be a fitting finale?
