Wonder Woman Director Reportedly Producing a Spin-off

The Wonder Woman 1984 trailer finally dropped last Sunday and since then, Gal Gadot, Patty Jenkins, and the rest of the team have been doing their part to promote it nonstop. Prior to the huge drop, the team first had a panel sit down at CCXP19, where they shared a quick teaser, answered some questions, and possibly confirmed yet another movie featuring some of Wonder Woman's best characters.

The movie, apparently, will focus on the Amazons of Themyscira, but will not have Jenkins on its directing chair. Rather, she will reportedly serve as its executive producer (via ComicBook.com).

Sim @PattyJenks confirmou que a WB desenvolve um filme focado nas Amazonas!

Ela não irá dirigir, mas trabalhará na produção executiva! Sem maiores detalhes. #MulherMaravilha1984https://t.co/8Dv9be8llB

The above tweet is from Brazilian journalist M.P. Morales and roughly translates to: "Yes @PattyJenks confirmed WB is developing a movie focused on the Amazons! She will not direct, but will work in executive production. More details have yet to surface."

The first Wonder Woman film was a massive success both on the box office and for critics and with this sequel set in the ‘80s, it seems that we have more to look forward to.

The DCEU has several upcoming films on its roster. Wonder Woman 1984 will be out in theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
