We have learned just recently that not only will Wonder Woman 1984 be keeping its theatrical release, the upcoming DC Extended Universe film will also be hitting HBO Max on December 25 and this latest development sure has fans all over the world excited as a lot of them have been worried for months now that the film will once again be pushed back to a later date. Thank goodness that's not the case.

Just a few weeks ahead of its highly-anticipated premiere in select cinemas and the HBO streaming service, we now know the official runtime of the Gal Gadot superhero sequel. Wonder Woman 1984 will have a total runtime of 151 minutes, that's over two-and-a-half hours of action and wonder. This makes the upcoming DCEU flick the second-longest film in the franchise, only behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which is only 1 minute longer than WW84 at 152 minutes total.

Another interesting bit about the project is that it'll be the first 4k-enabled film on HBO Max which only proves that Warner Bros. is determined to pull out all the stops to make this one a success. The stakes could not get any higher as well considering the fact that the first Wonder Woman film did extremely well. Of course, the chances of it replicating the box office achievement of its predecessor is in doubt given the ongoing pandemic, but there's no doubt that WW84 is a must-see flick.

That being said, Wonder Woman 1984 hits cinemas and HBO Max on December 25.
