Wonder Woman 1984 Star Gal Gadot Hints at Another Delay ‘Under Evaluation’

DC fans may be eagerly looking forward to Wonder Woman 1984's release in October, however, it seems like the film may be delayed yet again because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot just recently appeared in a segment of Israeli television to discuss the ongoing situation with her Wonder Woman sequel and the film's release date. According to Gadot, Warner Brothers, as well as WW84 director Patty Jenkins and the film's producers, are all continually evaluating the novel coronavirus situation and how it might affect the film's release.

In the segment, the actress revealed how Jenkins and her team continually discuss the topic of a potential new release date depending on the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Jenkins, Gadot, and the Wonder Woman 1984 team all gather together online to assess the film's release at least once every two weeks.

According to the DCEU star, the next Wonder Woman 1984 release date meeting is coming up in the next two weeks.

While DC fans might hold on to the hopes that the film will release as scheduled, it's important to note that Gadot emphasized the importance of public health and safety. As much as she'd love to have everyone see the sequel to Wonder Woman, the DC star would rather have Wonder Woman 1984 make its big debut in cinemas when everything's safe again.

This means that DC fans are going to have to wait and keep their eyes peeled, hoping that the COVID-19 situation will finally ease across the globe.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to release in the US on October 2, 2020.
