Many believe that Wonder Woman 1984 was a colossal failure and despite all the hype and anticipation fans had for the 2020 film, the sequel's overall plot, creative direction, and the fact that Patty Jenkins had major issues with Warner Bros. executives ultimately led to the Gal Gadot-led project being poorly received.

Now, two years following its premiere and the DCEU sequel is once again generating a lot of buzz online but for all the wrong reasons. Newly-released images from the film have surfaced on social media giving fans a better idea of what Diana Prince has been up to between the events of the original Wonder Woman film and the divisive sequel.

One photo, in particular, is drawing backlash online and it sees the Amazonian warrior participating in what appears to be a Nazi rally. Obviously, Diana is not aligned with them but what drives people crazy is the fact that she isn't doing anything to intervene when she could've easily taken out the Nazis right then and there. The said images obviously didn't make it to the final cut of the film and probably for good reason. As it stands, the people behind the film, as well as Gadot have yet to air their reaction to the now-controversial photo. To be fair though, it's likely that Diana didn't want to interfere right away because it could've caused an even bigger problem.

That said, both Wonder Woman films are available for streaming on HBO Max.
