Wonder Woman 1984: Gal Gadot Teases Major Event Will Change the Game for Diana Prince

If there's one thing that we know about Diana Prince, it's that she's always ready to spring into action if there's a huge catastrophe that's about to happen. For instance, she jumped in to help Batman and Superman fight Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. So it's no surprise that Gal Gadot has confirmed that a major event will be waiting for Diana in Wonder Woman 1984.

Gadot recently spoke to Extra where she teased some new details about the Wonder Woman sequel.

"This is a much more -- you know, she's been around, she's much wiser and mature and lonely and she's different," Gadot said. "We see her in a different time of her life that we've never experienced. And then something crazy happens that changes the whole game."

So what exactly is this crazy thing that happens in Wonder Woman 1984? If you've seen the trailer for the DC Extended Universe film, you probably have an idea. In the teaser, it is confirmed that Steve Trevor will be back from the dead for some strange reason. This should be enough to shock Diana but there is little doubt that there's more in store for the Amazonian princess.

The synopsis for Wonder Woman 1984 reads as follows:

"Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman's next big-screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah."

Wonder Woman 1984 also stars Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal, and Kristen Wiig. The film will premiere on June 5.
