Productions for films and television shows, big events, and project release dates continue to get delayed with the growing coronavirus pandemic. One of the most recent movies to be affected is Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 1984.

Jenkins took to Twitter to comment on the delay along with a new motion poster. "We made Wonder Woman 1984 for the big screen," she wrote. "And I believe in the power of cinema." However, a lot of things have been affected by the pandemic, including the entertainment industry, with many theater owners struggling as well. The director then confirmed the new release date for her movie, which is on the 14th of August. You can check out her tweet below:

Warner Bros. is reportedly hoping that the situation will get better by August. That said, some theaters already opened this weekend in China following the lockdown, but it isn't assured if most people are ready to go out in public yet and take that risk.

As some fans may know, Wonder Woman 1984 was originally set to debut in November 2019, but was then pushed to a June 2020 release date. Now, the wait would be extended further into months from now.

Hopefully, the situation gets better soon and we wish for those who are suffering from the coronavirus a speedy recovery.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on August 14, 2020.
