Two seasons and 25 episodes later, I’m sure most of us still want more of Mob Psycho 100. With that being said, this includes anticipation regarding the third season of Mob Psycho 100, something most of us are hoping will happen.
Mob Psycho 100 is an anime by studio Bones, adapted from the manga of the same name by One. Serialization began in 2012 under Ura Sunday, running until 2017. The anime aired between 2016 and 2019, receiving good reception from many anime fans.
Mob Psycho 100 follows Shigeo or Mob Kageyama, a reserved middle school kid with insanely powerful psychic abilities. His emotions greatly affect his powers, so he wants to be able to keep his skills in check. Aside from studying, he exorcises spirits while working under Reigen Arataka, a con artist who’s pretending to be a psychic.
What’s great about this series is the way it’s written. You can really see Mob’s character development throughout the show, and perhaps you can maybe even relate to him at some points. Mob’s struggles with being a powerful psychic while handling his emotions are presented with just the right mix of shōnen, comedy, and slice of life. Not to mention the amazing art brought to life alongside colorful, eye-catching animation.
When Will Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Release?
There is no official announcement yet regarding the third season of Mob Psycho 100. However, considering that the manga is finished, adapting content wouldn’t be an issue. The remaining unadapted chapters in the manga should be enough for the next installment of the show. Although it’s possible that it might not have the usual 12-13 episodes of the previous seasons, considering that there are only 10 chapters left coming from the last episode of Season 2’s adaptation.
Considering that the series was pretty well-received, we can only hope that there will be an announcement from Bones soon—perhaps right on time for a 2022 release.
