- Key Update: Showrunners indicate that Spider-Man: Brand New Day likely won't impact the narrative of Daredevil's third season.

- Quick Answer: While both heroes operate in NYC, creators suggest the projects will remain independent narratives despite fan hopes for a crossover following recent character cameos.
Two Marvel superheroes, Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Daredevil (Charlie Cox), based in New York, are returning to the big and small screen this year in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
While there’s no denying that New York City is massive, it might not be quite big enough to keep these two heroes from crossing paths while protecting The Big Apple's citizens.
In fact, The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) has already appeared in one of the Brand New Day clips. So, will the first MCU movie of the year end up changing the story of Daredevil Season 3?
Will Spider-Man: Brand New Day Affect the Story of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3?

In an interview with Daredevil executive producer Sana Amanat and showrunner Dario Scardapane, the two discussed the possible impact of the events of Brand New Day on Daredevil Season 3.
“I don’t know how to answer that. I don’t think so. I don’t think it should. I think we’re continuing to tell our story the way that we need to tell it. I think season two is a very big season for us, in a lot of ways, and you’ll know exactly where it’s going,” Amanat told ComicBook.
“So it technically should be its own thing, but I don’t know. I haven’t seen the latest cut. So, you know, your guess is as good as mine.”
While a crossover between the movie and the series looks unlikely at best, there may still be a small possibility.
Scardapane, however, seems to be playing it safe, carefully avoiding any spoilers.
“They keep me away from that stuff. I stay over here. I mean, look, I love the larger universe, but I’m really playing around in a corner. That’s a lot of fun,” he added.
Will Spider-Man and Daredevil Cross Paths?

As Daredevil exists in a narrative annex, there may be no way for Peter Parker to join Matt Murdock’s group of vigilantes, even though they are in the same city.
It’s also worth noting the Sony/Marvel rights situation, though such issues could potentially be resolved through good negotiation. In fact, Murdock had made his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
That said, it’s not far-fetched that fans might see Daredevil appear in an Avengers movie or a future Spider-Man film, especially with the loopholes introduced in Avengers: Secret Wars.
However, there would likely need to be some adjustments to the story, considering Daredevil is primarily a street-level hero. So, while a crossover may not happen anytime soon, it’s certainly not impossible.
In fact, Charlie Cox himself has already acknowledged the possibility.
“I think it’s more possible than it’s ever been, yeah. I would love to be in one of the Avengers films, or another Spider-Man, or something like that,” he told GQ.
“For a couple of reasons. One, because over the years I have become a geeky fan of the character, and I weirdly, for the character’s sake, feel like it’d be really cool for him to get that kind of upgrade. I would also just love it in terms of what it would do for my chances of getting other movie roles.”
Ultimately, while a Spider-Man and Daredevil crossover may still be a long shot, the possibility remains real for fans.
