Jonathan Majors made his debut in Disney+'s Loki series as He Who Remains. The last episode of Loki hinted at a tremendous impending threat with the Multiverse that will pave the way for the MCU's next phases. Many fans are mind blown by He Who Remains' debut and a lot of theories have surfaced online assuming that he is Kang The Conqueror, and is the next big bad for the upcoming Phases 5 and 6. After almost a year of anticipation, Marvel Studios finally confirmed that Kang The Conqueror is the next Thanos-level threat for the Multiverse Saga at the recent San Diego Comic-Con.

Is Kang The Conqueror Stronger Than Thanos?

If you’re a comics fan, you probably know the answer. But if not, let’s put it this way, partly yes.

Many fans have debated that Thanos was nearly useless without the Infinity Gauntlet. However, 2021's Eternals revealed that the Mad Titan possesses Eternal-Deviant genes, which grants him godlike strength and abilities, easily making him ideal to be a big villain. Thanos has also proved throughout the Infinity Saga that he may not have the advanced weaponry as Tony Stark or the mighty godlike strength of Thor, but his wicked determination to murder half of the entire universe is enough to conquer the battle.

Kang The Conqueror's Origins and Powers

Kang’s main strength is his highly-advanced intelligence. According to the Marvel comics, Kang is a 31st Century scientist who travels back in time multiple times to execute his nefarious plans. He brings the advantage of 31st-century technology and uses it against the other Marvel superheroes and mainly to the Avengers. He has an army, robots, and advanced weaponry from the 31st century that overpowers anyone who stands in his way. Unlike Thanos, who only wants genocide or to wipe out half of the universe, Kang has a different goal: he wants to be a God. And that is why he is a more complex villain compared to Thanos.

Can you imagine what a 31st-century villain who is technologically more advanced than Tony Stark can do to the new Avengers superheroes?

We will see more of Jonathan Majors' Kang The Conqueror in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, premiering in theaters on February 17, 2023.
