Why is Freya Obsessed with Bell in DanMachi?

Freya is the leader of one of the familias in DanMachi, the Freya Familia. She disguises herself as a human named Syr Flova, a friend of Ryuu who happens to like Bell. But it seems like Freya has feelings for Bell, too. Why is Freya obsessed with Bell in DanMachi?

Among all the characters of DanMachi, Freya is known to be flirtatious and a fan of great adventurers. She seeks the best adventurers and will do whatever it takes to get them.

Why is Freya Obsessed with Bell in DanMachi?

At first, Freya was just interested in Bell because of his transparent soul. She eventually became obsessed after she found out that he has great potential to become one of the best adventurers out there. She believes that he has a huge potential to grow further.

In fact, she went to great lengths to keep his soul to the point that she was willing to follow him to heaven. She even disguised herself as Syr to get to know him better.

Bell met her disguised self when he was on his way to a dungeon. The two became so close that she would make lunch for him every single day.

She confessed to him after she saw him defeat Silverback but he assumed that she was just teasing. She invaded the Entertainment District after Ishtar tried to claim him. She would never let any woman have him, other than herself.

She attacked his Familia, kidnapped him, and to top it off, she charmed every Orario and have him unimpeded.

Freya’s love for Bell triggered her to do a lot of illogical things in her life. But eventually, she decided to just watch over him, knowing that she could claim him anytime she wished to.

This made her calmer, but she still disguises as Syr, keeping that kind and mischievous side. Being obsessed with Bell made her change herself although she still can’t figure out the reason why.

Will Freya end up with him towards the end? Who will end up with Bell?
