Iron Man is one of the most popular superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has the looks, the heart, the talent, and the skills. While he may not be perfect, many fans love him dearly. In fact, some consider him the best Avenger.
Here are some reasons Iron Man is the best.
1. Casting is perfect
There is no doubt that Robert Downey Jr was the best for the role. He masterfully played the character and made the viewers fall in love with his playful antiques and accept his stubbornness and flaws. According to Comicbook, RDJ's casting "is one of the best in the history of the subgenre."
In 2019, RJD a.k.a Iron Man won the Best Hero at the MTV Awards. Twitter users flooded the actor with praises for playing the character well. All of them agreed that he deserved the accolade.

Iron Man exudes an air of arrogance after all in his own words without his suit, he is a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist. But those who really know the character will agree that he has a heart and he genuinely cares about everyone.
In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) played with his head to reveal his fears. It showed that Iron Man was afraid of aliens invading the Earth and seeing his friends and fellow Avengers die.
In fact, after seeing Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and Captain America (Chris Evans) dead, he was perplexed. He went near Captain America to check out if he was still alive.
Also, Iron Man would always create tech and suits for them. In fact, he was the one who designed Peter Parker a.k.a Spider-Man's suit (Tom Holland). He was also very emotional when he failed to save Peter in Avengers: Infinity War.
3. He saved the Earth
Iron Man sacrificed himself to save the Earth when he wore the infinity gauntlet to terminate Thanos and his army. Iron Man and the rest of the Avengers knew that the infinity gauntlet is one of the most powerful objects in the universe and anyone who would wear it will likely suffer severe damages.
However, Iron Man was desperate to save the Earth and his friends in Avengers Endgame. So, he wore the infinity gauntlet and snapped it. Unfortunately, unlike Hulk and Thanos he didn't survive because he had no superpowers.
