It's hard to imagine anyone stepping into the wizard hat and robes of Daniel Radcliffe, but now that a Harry Potter reboot is underway, it's inevitable.
The upcoming Harry Potter series from Warner Bros. will stream on HBO Max, and will be seven seasons long, each of them focusing on one of the books.
It has already been confirmed to be a "decade-long, faithful adaptation" of those seven books, but just how more faithful can the new series be?
After all, we've already had eight Harry Potter films, which did their very best to incorporate as much from their literary counterparts as wizardly possible.

Well, either way, it's bound to feel completely different from the films, largely because it will have an entirely new cast. Which is going to be hard to swallow.
Daniel Radcliffe, like many other Harry Potter actors, whether Ralph Fiennes or Robbie Coltrane, are synonymous with their Wizarding World counterparts.
As such, it's impossible to imagine anyone else putting on the Sorting Hat and asking not to end up in Slytherin, or facing off against Tom Riddle/Voldemort.
Whoever winds up taking up the mantle will certainly have their work cut out for them. Not only that, but as we now know, it will be a 10-year commitment.

We're sure, of course, that this will be a dream come true for whichever young actor becomes the next "Boy Who Lived".
However, fans will certainly have a hard time accepting anyone else other than Daniel Radcliffe with that iconic lightning bolt upon their forehead.
So, who will play Harry Potter in the new reboot? Well, there were two stories recently, both of which completely contradict one another.
One of them details an imminent casting call that Warner Bros. and HBO Max will hold at some point over the next nine months.

This, of course, suggests that actors are yet to be picked for the likes of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley.
Another article, however, based solely on rumor, though, suggests that three actors have already been picked to play the Gryffindor trio.
And those actors are Toby Woolf, Bronte Carmichael, and Joshua Pickering. This has yet to be verified by Warner Bros., so best take it with a pinch of salt.
We're sure some news will emerge in the coming weeks, whether it's the fact that actors will be chosen, or whether the casting call will actually take place.
