The Winter 2024 anime season is in full swing, and with it comes lots of anime premieres such as the second season of Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-. With the second season finally beginning, some fans may be wondering about the Tsukimichi English dub, including the voice of Tomoe.
In the series, Tomoe is a major character and is one that many fans consider their favorite. For this new season, she returns for more adventures with the protagonist, Makoto Misumi.
Also returning is the VA of Tomoe, at least in the show’s Japanese dub.
Tsukimichi Season 2 Premieres on Crunchyroll Today With Japanese Audio
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- is an isekai anime that’s based on the ongoing light novel series of the same name. The first season was made by C2C, the studio behind shows like Shangri-La Frontier and Otaku Elf.
However, Season 2’s production was moved to a new studio. Handling animation duties for the show’s return is J.C.Staff, a notable studio known for titles like Shokugeki no Souma!, One-Punch Man Season 2, and DanMachi.
With the show’s new studio comes a new staff list, though the previous season’s voice cast returned for the new season, which has just premiered on Crunchyroll.
This means the first season’s notable VAs return, including Natsuki Hanae and Akari Kito as Makoto Misumi and Mio, respectively. Hanae and Kito are also known for voicing Tanjiro and Nezuko in Demon Slayer.
Also back is Ayane Sakura as Tomoe in the Japanese version. Sakura is another popular VA who has voiced popular characters such as Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia and Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan.
For now, the second season does not have an English dub yet, though the first season has an English language option on Crunchyroll.

Tsukimichi: Who Is the English Dub Voice of Tomoe?
The anime’s first season aired in the Summer 2021 season, though it only received an English dub months after in April 2022.
In the English dub, Tsukimichi’s Tomoe is voiced by Monica Rial, a popular dub VA who is best known for voicing Tanya Degurechaff in The Saga of Tanya the Evil.
More recently, Rial voiced Ah-Duo in the popular ongoing anime The Apothecary Diaries.
For now, there’s no word yet on the English dub of Tsukimichi Season 2. Given that the first season has an English dub, chances are that the second season will get one down the line.
If that is the case, it’s also likely that the English dub cast from Season 1 will return.
