Where Have You Seen Madison Hu Before?
Things seem to be looking up for Madison Hu. Aside from recently starring as Grace on Netflix's The Brothers Sun, Hu is best known for playing the role of Frankie Wong on the Disney series titled BizaArdvark.
Across 63 episodes, Hu starred opposite Grammy-winning actress-singer Olivia Rodrigo, who played the main character, Paige Olvera.
Since then, the two have kept in touch, landing Hu some roles in a couple of Rodrigo's music videos, including SOUR Prom in 2021 and Bad Idea Right? in 2023.
Hu also starred in Best Friends Whenever as Marci, Grace and Frankie as Spelling Bee Girl, and 2023's The Boogeyman as Bethany.
Her most recent part in The Brothers Sun involves a much bigger impact on Bruce (Sam Li) and Charles Sun (Justin Chien).
While she was initially depicted as Bruce's love interest in the Netflix series, she was revealed to have a darker motive against the Sun family.
In March this year, we get to see more of Hu's versatility as an actress, as she stars in another thriller-horror, Night Shift, where she takes an opposite stride to Phoebe Tonkin's Gwen.
Meet Alice from Night Shift
Based on the Night Shift trailer, Alice (played by Madison Hu) is essentially another hotel guest staying at the remote motel. She ends up befriending the main character, Gwen (played by Phoebe Tonkin).
Alice is the first to reveal to Gwen that she believes the very motel they are staying at is haunted.
There have been a few moments where Alice is seen having a sinister look in her eyes, which potentially means her role is much bigger than anyone would have anticipated from the teasers.
That said, the Night Shift movie follows Gwen as she works her first night shift job. But things have taken a more eerie turn when she starts seeing things and slowly starts realizing the motel is hiding dark secrets.
Night Shift premiered in theaters and is available on VOD beginning March 8.
