Why Did Neve Campbell Return in Scream 7?
The 30-year-old franchise sees the return of Neve Campbell, who reprises her role as Sidney Prescott, who is now a mom herself.
According to Campbell, her return comes full circle, considering that her mother was the first victim of the Ghostface killers. Campbell told TotalFilm:
- "It's a whole full-circle story for Sidney."
- "There's a lot of trauma around her motherhood and her mother. She's made the very brave choice to have children herself. And she's made this decision, she wants to live in this small town, have a family, and overcome her past."
This family-centered storyline gives the latest installment a more personal dimension, connecting Sidney's history with the new generation of characters caught in the Ghostface mystery.
