How Much of Gushing Over Magical Girls Did the Anime Cover?
A lot happened in the anime adaptation of Gushing Over Magical Girls, from the time Venalita recruited Utena Hiiragi in Enormita to the time Magia Baiser took over as leader of the nefarious organization.
The anime featured Utena as an extremely timid and ordinary middle school student with twisted fantasies about the ever-popular magical girls, Tres Magia.
She had wanted to join them as a magical girl, but instead, she fell into darkness and joined the villains.
As the story advances, Utena adopts the villain name Magia Baiser, which she coined. She teams up with Kiwi Araga and Morino Korisu to cause trouble for Tres Magia in odd and unthinkable ways.
The anime also revealed Enormita's founding members, known as the Lord's Squad, which includes Lord Enorme, Sister Gigant, Loco Musica, and Leberblume.
These girls feel they have all the power they need to defeat the magical girls, so they refuse to recognize Magia Baiser's group.
Instead of allowing them to assist, they chased Utena and the others away, sparking a dispute between the two groups.
By the end of the anime, Magia Baiser has defeated Lord Enorme and taken over as leader of Enormita, despite her reservations.
Loco Musica and Leberblume also supported Magia Baiser's cause, abandoning Lord Enorme, who was eventually removed from her duties.
