Akemitsu had grown up listening to his father’s words – “No one can live alone.”
However, he is determined to forge his own path, knowing that his father’s words were driven by dishonorable intentions.
He has no desire to emulate his father’s actions. But one fateful encounter with a young woman left him grappling with perverted thoughts, leading him to make a life-changing decision.
Akemitsu announces that he would become a Buddhist monk and abandon worldly desires.
To fully embrace his newfound path, he decides to devote himself to a particular temple.
However, he is in for a shock when he learns that women predominately occupy the temple.
And to make matters worse, the same woman from the chance encounter is also there.
This presented a perplexing situation for Akemitsu – he is torn between his commitment to renounce worldly desires and the unexpected allure of the company around him.
Akemitsu now faces the challenging task of reconciling his feelings and convictions.
TenPuru -No One Can Live on Loneliness- has an anime adaptation that's currently airing in the Summer 23 season.
The anime is directed by Kazuomi Koga (Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World) and the series composition is handled by Yohei Kashii (Banished From the Heroes' Party).
The TenPuru anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

As of writing, the TenPuru manga is still ongoing, with nine volumes released in Japanese.
For the English-translated version, eight volumes have been published, with the most recent, the eighth volume, becoming available on June 20, 2023.
