Dragon Ball Super is a famous manga series written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. The anime is the fourth offering in the Dragon Ball franchise. But which part of the Dragon Ball Super manga should fans read after the anime?
The anime follows the journey of Goku and his friends after Majin Buu’s defeat. Goku is shown working as a farmer while his family leads a peaceful life.
Elsewhere, the God of Destruction Beerus awakens and he is looking for a warrior named the Super Saiyan God.
Beerus threatens to destroy planet Earth if he loses to him. Goku gets into Super Saiyan God and challenges Beerus to a battle.

How Much of Dragon Ball Super Did the Anime Cover?
The anime originally ran from July 5, 2015, to March 25, 2018. Toei Animation released 131 episodes of the anime and is currently on an indefinite hiatus.
The Dragon Ball Super anime covered 42 chapters of the manga. The first season of the anime ended with Chapter 42, which also marked the end of the Tournament of Power Saga arc.
Here are the sagas the Dragon Ball Super anime covered:
- God of Destruction Beerus Saga: Episodes 1 through 15 cover the awakening of the God of Destruction Beerus and his trusted ally, Whis.
- Golden Frieza Saga: Episodes 16 through 27 deal with the events from the Resurrection ‘F’ movie. This saga is about Frieza’s revival and his attempt to beat Goku.
- Universe 6 Saga: This saga spreads from Episodes 28 through 41 and showcases the tournament between Champa and Beerus. They are fighting over who will keep the Super Dragon Balls and Universe 7’s Earth.
- Copy-Vegeta Saga: This short anime-only saga is featured in Episodes 42 through 46. After the Gods of Destruction’s battle, the Dragon Team heads to the Potaufeu and runs into Duplicate Vegeta.
- Future Trunks Saga: Episodes 47 through 76 explores the return of Future Trunks and a fight with Future Zamasu and Goku Black.
- Universal Survival Saga: The sixth and final saga of the anime is explored in Episodes 77 through 131. In this saga, the Zeno kickstarts the Tournament of Power with multiple universes participating for survival.
Where to Read the Dragon Ball Super Manga After the Anime
After finishing the anime, fans can start from Chapter 43 of the Dragon Ball Super manga onwards. This also marks the beginning of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

The manga is being serialized by V-Jump in Japan and Shonen Jump outside of Japan.
