What Is the Plot of 100 Girlfriends?
After graduating from middle school, Rentarou summons the courage to confess his true feelings for the girl he adores.
Sadly, he faces rejection once again, marking his 100th consecutive rejection.
Frustrated and disheartened by the unending string of disappointments, he seeks solace at a local shrine known for matchmaking. He fervently prays for a chance to find love in high school.
Unexpectedly, the god of the shrine materializes before him and tells him that he will encounter 100 soulmates during his high school years.
He laughs it off at first, but his doubts quickly dissipate when two of his soulmates, Hakari Hanazono and Karane Inda, confess their feelings to him.
But the god had omitted a critical detail. If any of his soulmates fail to establish a romantic connection with him, their lives would be in danger.
Faced with a life-and-death dilemma, Rentarou embarks on relationships with all 100 of his soulmates.
Thus, Rentarou navigates his unexpected high school (love) life.

Yes, the 100 Girlfriends manga is currently ongoing. Since 2019, the manga has been published in Weekly Young Jump, a seinen magazine from Shueisha.
As of writing, 14 volumes of the 100 Girlfriends manga have been released.
