One of the most highly-anticipated Marvel shows coming to Disney Plus is Echo, a spin-off from Hawkeye which introduced the titular comic superhero. The new show will continue the story of Echo (Maya Lopez), the adoptive daughter of the crime villain Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), who was last seen seeking revenge on him for his involvement in the death of her biological father.

D'Onofrio is already confirmed to return as Kingpin along with Charlie Cox, who wil reprise his role as Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil, having recently been re-introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Cox originally played the Man Without Fear in Netflix's Daredevil, which was cancelled after three seasons, and the crossover miniseries The Defenders.

In the comic books, Daredevil and Echo do have a history together, so narratively it would make sense for the superheroes to share the screen. The Echo series will likely lead to the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again, but it's unclear if it will be directly connected to Netflix's original series. For now, Marvel fans are excited to see Cox and D'Onofrio reprise their iconic roles, but the biggest question about the show now is "When will Echo be released?".

Here's everything you need to know about Marvel's Echo, including release date prediction, cast, plot, trailer, and the latest news.

Echo

According to the official synopsis for Marvel's Echo, the spin-will tell "the origin story of Echo" and will revisit "Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behaviour in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward."

It's likely that the Echo series will feature a bunch of flashbacks to Maya's past before picking up the events of Hawkeye, and continue her quest for revenge against Ronin, especially given McClarnon's return as Maya's father, who died before the events of Hawkeye.

The show will likely continue to focus on Maya's relationship with Kingpin and her criminal connections while she's trying to forge a new future.

In the final episode of Hawkeye, Maya turned her back on the Tracksuit Mafia and lose her best friest Kazi. Her final scene showed her confronting a wounded Fisk. Maya pointed her gun at the villain responsible for the death of the two most important people in her life and Fisk tried to talk his way out of it.

The camera panned upwards as a shot and the sound of a body dropping are heard. Did Maya actually kill Kingpin? That's one of the biggest questions Marvel's Echo will likely answer.

With Cox and D'Onofrio confirmed to return, it's likely that Kingpin is still alive, and that Daredevil and Echo will team-up in the upcoming Marvel series.

We will update this article once we get more plot details.
