Paradox Live the Animation is yet another addition to the ever-growing music anime genre. It is a major treat for fans of Paradox Live, who are constantly waiting for their favorite biases, such as Anne, to be animated. Based on the Japanese media mix project created by GCREST and Avex Pictures, Paradox Live the Animation centers around the rapper group BAE as they enter a rap battle set in the legendary Club Paradox against other highly talented and competitive rap groups.
BAE is composed of a trio of friends: Allen Sugasano, aka SUZAKU; Yeon Hajun, aka 48 (yon-pachi); and Anne Faulker, who goes by the name anZ.
Together, they aim to win the Club Paradox rap battle competition to earn the right to fight against the iconic duo known as Buraikan.

Meet Anne Faulkner: The Unrestrained Rapper of BAE
Anne Faulkner, or simply Anne, is one-third of the popular musical and rap group BAE. Anne has a massive fan base, composed of girls and boys, who love Anne’s rapping skills, cheerful personality, and cool fashion sense.
Among BAE, Anne acts like the group's mother who often scolds Hajun for having all-nighters when composing music.
Anne respects Hajun’s musical sense, but Anne still believes that resting and taking it easy from time to time is also important, even though they’re against talented competitors.
Interestingly, Anne is so bad at cooking that Allen has always been the cook of the group, donning his adorable apron every mealtime. Anne would rather go window shopping than pick up some kitchen utensils in their apartment.
Anne shines in BAE due to the rapper’s fashionable style. Anne wears a black cropped tank top with a black fishnet cropped top, matched with a skirt, a black beret with the BAE logo, and a magenta jacket.
Regarding Anne’s personality, Anne can easily be irritated and annoyed when something goes wrong. This doesn’t mean Anne is snobby; Anne acts like any ordinary person who gets mad when things are messed up.
Is Anne a Girl or a Boy in Paradox Live the Animation?
In Paradox Live the Animation, Anne Faulkner is a non-binary character. Anne is biologically male, but they don’t identify themselves as exclusively male or female. They can sometimes be male, female, or both, depending on Anne.
Anne’s iconic quote, “Man or woman, does it matter? ”, proves that they are a boundless rapper unrestrained by gender.
Anne also associates themselves with hashtags like #Can’t Hold Me Down, #Mental State Is Clear and Refreshed, and even #Half-British Half Japanese.
In the past, Anne had a problem with their strict, conservative, and old-fashioned mother.
Anne’s mother oppressed them to be the ideal prince she wanted them to be, resulting in Anne’s inability to show the people their true selves.
Because of this, Anne moved away from their mother and went to a private international university, where they met Allen and Hajun.
Aside from rapping, Anne also works as a part-time hostess at Club Candy, where they take advantage of their good looks.
