It looks like the dawning of a new era in the DC Extended Universe is upon us as Warner Bros. Discovery looks to restructure the franchise that has long been plagued with inconsistency and questionable creative decisions. As it stands, we still know very little about David Zaslav's long-term plans for the DCEU but a new report seems to shed some light regarding the franchise's future and it's definitely going to please a lot of fans.

According to a new report DC scooper Syl Abdul shared on Twitter, Zaslav has ordered to change the final act of Ezra Miller's solo The Flash film so it would coincide with Zack Snyder's original plans. Abdul claims that Zaslav has decided to set the DCEU in Snyder's original timeline, instead of going the "HamadaVerse" route.

The Flash was set for theatrical release this year before being bumped to June 2023 and it is believed Miller's personal troubles are responsible for the delay. This seems to be a blessing in disguise as it gives the studio enough time to change the film's ending if that's truly the case. What does it mean though for Michael Keaton's Batman who is supposedly Ben Affleck's permanent replacement?

Hopefully, we'll get more details about this massive shake-up in the coming months.

Meanwhile, DC's next film Black Adam is slated for release on October 21, 2022.
