Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone BTS Video Has the Kids Fooling Around on Set

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone turns 18 years old this November, and a BTS video from 2001 has been making the rounds online. As a Potter fan, I have to say it’s equal parts nostalgic and adorable.

Basically it’s a video of young Emma Watson and Tom Felton playing Red Hands on the set of Sorcerer’s Stone. Little Dan Radcliffe can be seen commentating, and there are also glimpses of Rupert Grint (Ron) and Jamie Waylett (Crabbe).

Fun fact about Waylett, he didn’t get to appear in the Deathly Hallows films because he was arrested in 2011 for participating in the England riots. He was sentenced to two years in prison for looting, and police also found him growing cannabis in his home. Just imagine what Deathly Hallows would have been like if we got a look at the bumbling duo of Crabbe and Goyle one more time. Zabini and Goyle just don’t have the same ring to it.

For now, it looks like the Wizarding World franchise had caught a snag with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The film was so poorly received by fans that it’s believed that it caused the third film to be delayed.

Personally, I would have loved it if they just made anthology films based on random Hogwarts books. After Fantastic Beasts, we could have gotten Quidditch Through the Ages. I’d even be up for a Magical Me movie which chronicles the (fake) adventures of one Gilderoy Lockhart.

The third Fantastic Beasts film is set for a release on Nov. 12, 2021.
