Warner Bros Wants To See Shazam 2 Made 'As Soon As Possible'

Shazam! was a pretty big hit when it released earlier this year. Not only was the film a commercial success, but it also earned rave reviews from fans and from critics. Now it looks like Warner Bros are eager to get Shazam 2 on the road.

DC's Captain Marvel star Zachary Levi just recently attended the CCXP Cologne Convention in Germany last weekend (via ComicBook.com) and during a panel discussion with fans, the actor revealed that Warner Bros and New Line have been "very happy" with Shazam. Right now, Warner Bros want to make a sequel to Shazam! "as soon as possible," not only because of the original film's success but because of how fast teen stars Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer are growing.

However, when asked to reveal further details about Shazam 2, Levi says that he doesn't really know much.

"The truth is, I don't really know anything," Levi replied, "I know that I'm gonna have a conversation with my bosses pretty soon about what the idea is and where we're going with the new movie, but all I really know is that New Line, our studio, and Warner Bros, our parent studio, and DC, and our producers and executives and everybody who's involved in all of the decision makings, they're all very happy with what we did. They want to do even better the second time around, and they are crafting a story right now as we speak about what that sequel is going to be."

We're definitely excited to see what DC has in store for Shazam 2. At the end of the original movie, Billy Batson shares his power to his foster family, introducing the Shazam family to the DC Extended Universe. We can't wait to see more of the family battling evil together in the next Shazam movie.
