Warner Brothers Hoping to Resume The Witcher Production This August

Henry Cavill's future as Superman in the DC Extended Universe may be largely uncertain, however, the Man of Steel star has a bright future ahead of him thanks to TheWitcher series.

The COVID-19 pandemic may have forced various film and television studios to shut down the production of upcoming projects like The Witcher, it seems like Netflix is gearing up to resume work on the critically-acclaimed web television series soon.

According to a report by Redanian Intelligence, production on the second season of The Witcher will be resuming this August, giving the series' cast and crew some assurance of safety in the middle of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Back in March, Netflix revealed plans to conduct a deep cleaning of all of the sets for the second season of The Witcher after cast member Kristofer Hivju (who also starred in Game of Thrones) had tested positive for COVID-19.

Sure, Hivju might have revealed a month later that he had fully recovered from the disease, but the cast and crew can't take any chances. It's good to see that Warner Brothers is taking extra precautions to keep the disease from spreading. Better safe than sorry.

Besides, it won't take long for August to come around. By then fans would be enjoying all the news and the leaks coming out of the production set of The Witcher Season 2.

Right now, the first season of The Wicher is available for streaming on Netflix.
