There's no doubt that DC and Warner Bros. Pictures are pulling out all the stops to make The Flash an awesome comic book film. The Ezra Miller-led project is said to be loosely based on the fan-favorite Flashpoint storyline and if you've read the comics or seen the animated film, you know very well that it taps into brand new territory.

So far, all we know about the film is that it would feature two Batman actors in Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton who are both returning to don the caped crusader's iconic cape and cowl. Apparently, DC's plan calls for another major Batman actor to join the film. Rumors have long been swirling that Christian Bale is also being eyed to make his triumphant return as The Dark Knight and he's reportedly down to make a comeback.

Now, in a new scoop from insider Daniel Richtman's Patreon account, DC and WB are said to be really adamant about convincing Bale to make a cameo in the film even though previous rumors suggested that he's on board with the idea. According to Richtman, Warner Bros. would be willing to pay Bale a lot of money just to make an appearance in the film.

Of course, that still remains a rumor for now so take it with a huge grain of salt. I gotta say though, it would be interesting to see how Bale's "realistic" take on Batman would look like in the DCEU which pretty much is a comic book universe. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Also, can you imagine if Affleck, Keaton, and Bale shared some screen time in the film? That would be pretty dope.

The Flash is scheduled for release in 2022.
