Warner Bros. Embraces Birds of Prey and Harley Quinn With New Logo Reveal

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has impressed a lot of fans with its first trailer, showing a lot of Harley Quinn-centric footage. While we do see Black Canary and Huntress, they're basically supporting characters which, let's be honest here, is what most of us were expecting. Still, it looks like a solid enough movie and one that should make DC fans happy.

It looks like Warner Bros. is aware of how popular the character is since they basically plastered her all over their logo. That's right, as can be seen below, Warner Bros. is advertising the Birds of Prey star like she's the mascot of this company. This isn't a bad thing of course since Harley is a very popular anti-hero and we're actually expecting more movies featuring the character.

Harley is also confirmed to appear in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, still played by Margot Robbie. That basically spoils her fate in this movie but hey, characters like Black Canary and Huntress could die. Or, you know, they'll just kill the villains so that Ewan McGregor can be free to play as Obi-Wan.

As someone who has mixed opinions about the Harley Quinn character, the first trailer to Birds of Prey did get me a bit excited. It's interesting seeing her try to find her place in the world. Here is hoping that they also make her confront the fact that she was partly responsible for the death of Robin.

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) comes out on February 7, 2020.
