Things have been messy after Ruby Rose publicly accused Dougray Scott of abusive behavior on the set of Batwoman. However, Warner Brothers TV was quick to defend the Hemlock Grove star and saying the claims are "entirely made up." Now, a new statement from the studio condemns Rose's allegations.
The statement was issued after Warner Bros. TV may have made internal reviews into the matter. It is revealed that the studio is still standing by Scott, saying that he never bullied anyone on the Batwoman set.
"We condemn the comments made by Ruby Rose about Dougray Scott. Warner Bros. has found Mr. Scott to be a consummate professional and never received any allegation against him of bullying, or of abusive behavior on his part. Mr. Scott was greatly respected and admired by his colleagues, and was a leader on the set," the statement reads.
The statement also offered an explanation on why Rose was not brought back for Batwoman Season 2 because of her own behavior.
"Warner Bros. Television did not pick up Ruby Rose's option for an additional season because of multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed by the Studio," it reads.
Scott had previously fired back at Rose's allegations, stating that her claims were untrue.
“I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by her; they are entirely made up and never happened,” Scott's statement read.
Scott is not the only one Rose had accused of abusive behavior on the set of Batwoman. Camrus Johnson also spoke out against the former Orange is the New Black star's allegations.
Rose made the allegations against the cast and crew of Batwoman on her official Instagram account. She has not yet made a comment about Warner Bros. TV's latest statement. Stay tuned for updates on this story.
