There is little doubt that people have a lot of theories about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. After all, the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel will deal with the multiverse and that means opening doors to other dimensions. So will we finally find out what happened to Wanda Maximoff's sons after they disappeared in WandaVision? Julian Hilliard has finally addressed the speculations about his return as Billy Maximoff in Doctor Strange 2!
In the WandaVision finale, Wanda finally decided to take down the Hex which would mean having to say goodbye to Vision and her twin sons who only exist within the barrier. However, she later hears Billy and Tommy Maximoff calling for her while she is in her astral form. Not surprisingly, this has led to speculations that the boys did not simply disappear and have ended up in an alternate dimension.
But will Doctor Strange 2 finally reveal what happened to Billy and Tommy? Julian Hilliard, who played Billy in WandaVision, addressed the speculations in a new tweet. Check it out below.
It's an interesting way to address all those rumors and a brilliant way to use the House of M panel that has turned into a meme. We would love to catch up with Billy and Tommy in Doctor Strange 2 but it is important to remember that Hilliard and Tommy actor Jett Klyne have not yet been confirmed to appear in the sequel. However, we'll be waiting for new updates on the film.
The return of Billy and Tommy Maximoff is something fans have been hoping for considering that they are both future members of the Young Avengers. Let's hope that Marvel eventually solidifies its plans for the heroes soon.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film will hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
