Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D'Onofrio revealed recently that the upcoming Disney+ series will have a darker violence than the Netflix version.

Fans have been anticipating the reboot since it will mark Charlie Cox and D'Onofrio's comeback series in the MCU since rejoining the franchise in Phase Four. They will also reunite with the other cast members from the Netflix series.

Given that the series is produced by Marvel Studios and will air on Disney+, there have been concerns about whether it will tone down its violence. Fortunately, it looks like that won't be the case at all.

In a recent interview with the cast of Daredevil: Born Again, D'Onofrio opened up about the Disney+ series' violence and claimed that it will "go much further" than what it did in the original.

"There are some things in this show that we go much further with than we did on the original show," he teased.

The Kingpin actor shared that he filmed a scene where he couldn't believe that it got away with its violence.

D'Onofrio added, "There's one thing in particular that my character does, that I can't believe made it into the cut."

This is a promising comment from the actor since it suggests that fans have nothing to worry about on its violence and they can still expect the Disney+ version to go in a darker route.

After all, the Daredevil world has always been known for its violent tone and it would be jarring if the upcoming series wouldn't go in that direction just because it moved to a more family-friendly platform.

Fortunately, fans have nothing to be concerned about now since we can still expect the same elements as the Netflix series and it is exciting to see how it all plays out once we see the entire first season.

Daredevil: Born Again is slated to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
