What Villainess Level 99 Content Is Out There?

Aside from the recently released anime adaptation by Jumondou, Villainess Level 99 has a light novel and manga series inspired by the original web novel series written by Satori Tanabata that was published on Shosetsuka ni Naro’s publishing website.

The Villainess Level 99 web novel series is still ongoing as of writing. The light novels with illustrations by Tea, on the other hand, have six volumes in circulation and have been picked up by J-Novel Club for English distribution.

On the other hand, the Villainess Level 99 manga series, which was illustrated by Nokomi, has three volumes and has been picked up by One Peace Books for English distribution.

Villainess Level 99 Web Novel vs Manga Differences

There are quite a lot of differences between Villainess Level 99’s novels (LN and WN) and manga series, and here are some of them:

  • The Villainess Level 99 manga added a new arc (the Tournament arc) and omitted an arc from the novel.
  • The Villainess Level 99 manga provides more character development for Alicia, who was the original heroine of the dating game.
  • The Villainess Level 99 manga expanded on some plot elements from the novel, including Alicia’s personality.
  • In the light novel, Alicia was arrested and imprisoned, but in the web novel, she was killed.
  • In the light novel, Alicia disliked Yumiella because of her black hair and dark magic, but in the manga, she can see a scary black blob on her.
  • In the manga, Alicia is nice and naïve, but she is worse in the novel. In other words, the manga didn’t antagonize Alicia that much, and it made her character better.
