Venom 2 Director Andy Serkis Teases [SPOILERS] Return After Let There Be Carnage

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is finally out in theaters this weekend and it has viewers freaking out over the climactic battle between symbiotes. But what will happen in the future? Director Andy Serkis has teased at a certain character's return in the next sequel.

WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS from Venom: Let There Be Carnage so PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

In Venom 2, Eddie Brock and Venom found an unusual way to defeat Cletus Kasady and Carnage. By provoking Shriek into using her powers, the sonic blast causes the symbiotes to separate from the hosts. Venom manages to bond with Brock right away and as Carnage tries to return to Kasady, the other symbiote eats him. Brock later allows Venom to devour Kasady's head.

It seems pretty clear that Kasady is dead. However, Serkis teased at the possibility that we haven't seen the last of Carnage just yet.

While talking to Comicbook.com, Serkis admitted that it was difficult to kill off Kasady and Carnage in Venom 2. However, he also suggested that there were other ways for Carnage to survive the cathedral fight.

"It's not easy. I mean, the fact of the matter is I always like to think there might just be that little bit of symbiote that didn't quite get devoured by Venom and that could be hanging around in some baptismal font in the church, that's just sort of swimming around that could somehow come back to life," Serkis said. "I always say, no one ever dies, really."

Serkis does have a point there and we're hoping that's exactly what happened to Carnage. In the meantime, we'll be looking forward to Brock and Venom's future in more movies.
