Venom 2: Andy Serkis Teases Shriek's Potential in Let There Be Carnage

Fans are loving the first trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage because of its awesome reveal of new villain Carnage. However, Cletus Kasady and his symbiote are not the only ones who have people talking. We also got a glimpse at Shriek and director Andy Serkis has big plans for this baddie's potential in the sequel.

The Venom 2 trailer only offered a brief look at Shriek, who is played by Naomie Harris. However, Serkis told IGN that he has big plans for the character in the film. The filmmaker pointed out that although the movie is about Carnage, Shriek will get to prove herself in the sequel.

"She's dangerous too and I think she has her own sense of fairness and being just, and I think when that line is crossed, then you see a very, very dangerous, dark side to her, and that's what we wanted to do with the character," Serkis said.

There is little doubt that Shriek will be a force to reckon with. As a character who can manipulate sound and one who doesn't seem right in the head, she could be a volatile entity in the movie. In addition to that, she's played by Harris who is one of the most talented actors right now. With that in mind, we can't wait to see Shriek in action.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will also star Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson. The sequel is scheduled for release on September 24, 2021.
