The romantic fantasy anime has a lot of unfinished business due to the very unusual ending of the first season, so fans can't wait to see Oscar and Tinasha get together in the second season.
Unnamed Memory Anime Renewed for Season 2
Despite the mixed reception from international fans, the fantasy and romance anime Unnamed Memory has secured a second-season adaptation that will come out in January 2025.
The announcement came shortly after the finale of Unnamed Memory season 1, which surprised many fans on Reddit and X (previously Twitter).
The official YouTube channel of Kadokawa Anime also posted a promotional video announcing the second season of Unnamed Memory.
The first season's finale shockingly had a major plot twist that seemingly overwrote the entirety of the 12-episode run of Unnamed Memory.
Some viewers were impressed by the plot twist, while others couldn’t believe that all the events that took place in the first season had been overwritten by the final episode.
Thankfully, a season 2 adaptation is in the works, which could answer all the unresolved questions in the first season.
Unnamed Memory Season 2 Release Date Predictions
The exact release date of Unnamed Memory season 2 is not yet confirmed, but it’s likely to come out in the first or second week of January 2025 as part of the winter season lineup.
Since the first season of the anime came out in the first week of spring 2024, there’s a huge chance that Unnamed Memory season 2’s debut episode will also come out in the first week of winter 2025.
If that’s the case, the first episode of Unnamed Memory season 2 is expected to drop between January 1 and 5, when new anime shows often release their premiere episodes.
Should the second season fail to debut in the first week, then fans can expect the pilot episode to drop in the second week of January.
