One of the things that made The Uncanny Counter such a big hit is because of its cast. But many fail to talk about the cast that make up The Uncanny Counter Spirits Immigration Officers from Yung.

In this article, we'll focus on these characters and the actors who play them. After all, they also play a big role in how our heroes can catch evil spirits.

The ending of The Uncanny Counter Season 2 hinted that the next season could introduce new characters related to the Yung officers. So let's talk about this part of the show.

Wi-gen

As the eldest member of Yung, Wi-gen (played by Moon Sook) is appointed its leader. She is So Mun's (played by Jo Byeong-kyu) partner, who managed to acquire his powers despite not being in a coma.

Until now, they do not know why Mun was specifically chosen by Wi-gen. Even Wi-gen is baffled by this, which is why he is the uncanny Counter. But this proves to be an advantage to everyone in Yung since Mun has become the most powerful Counter.

At the end of Season 2, Mun lets Wi-gen meet her daughter, a cafe owner called Jade (played by Angelina Danilova).

We don't know much about Jade at this point. But she revealed that her mom used to take her to the mountains.

Hopefully, the show will expand the storyline of the Yung Spirits Immigration Officers to show their lives when they were still living as humans.

Moon Sook, the 69-year-old actress behind the character, has been referred to as the Aubrey Hepburn of South Korea. Aside from The Uncanny Counter, she starred in Mask Girl as the mom of Kim Mo-mi.

Kwon Su-ho

Aside from Wi-gen, Kwon Su-ho (played by Lee Chan-hyung) is the only member from Yung whom we have some information.

In the first season, Su-ho was revealed to be the son of Chu Mae-ok (played by Yeom Hye-ran). Mae-ok used to work as a photographer, but when her son died, she went into depression. This led her to fall into a coma.

She only regained her life when Su-ho partnered with her.

Chan-hyung starred in Hospital Playlist.

Kim Gi-ran

Kim Gi-ran (played by Kim So-ra) is the Yung partner of Ga Mo-tak (played by Yoo Jun-sang). In the first season, she was unhappy with getting Mo-tak as her partner since he often broke the rules.

But she has since mellowed down in the second season.

So-ra starred in Remarriage & Desires and Love & Wish.

Woo-sik

Woo-sik is Do Ha-na's (played by Kim Se-jeong) partner in Yung. He is a young boy with a mature mind.

The child actor who plays Woo-sik in the second season is Kwon Duk-in. Meanwhile, the role was previously played by Eun Ye-jun.

The change is that Ye-jun has grown up by the second season. After all, it's been three years since the first season. Since their characters are supposed to be dead, the growth spurt cannot be explained in the series.

Jong-guk

Jong-guk (played by Choi Kwang-je) is a new character who only joined in the second season. He is the partner of Jeok-bong (played by Yoo In-soo).

At first, he seemed like a demanding coward who did not want to be paired with anyone he didn't like. But after a while, he has grown to love Jeok-bong as his partner.

We're so looking forward to seeing more about the human stories of our Yung officers. Hopefully, the show gets renewed a third time to give us more information about them.

In the meantime, check out this behind-the-scenes footage of the group:
