Uhm Tae Goo will have his K-drama comeback along with Han Sun Hwa for the upcoming series The Woman Who Plays.
After three years, the duo will be co-stars and headlining an upcoming JTBC K-drama.
According to Osen, the series will begin its production in the first quarter of 2023; however, the broadcast network is yet to confirm the roles of Uhm Tae Goo and Han Sun Hwa, as well as the cast members joining the duo.

Prior to the upcoming K-drama under JTBC, Uhm Tae Goo and Han Sun Hwa first worked together in the 2019 thriller mystery series Save Me 2, where the actor, who plays the role of the troublemaker Kim Min Chul is the love interest of bar owner Go Eun Ah, played by Han Sun Hwa.
Initially premiered in OCN, the sequel depicts the story of a village invaded by false faith led by a conman who disguised himself as a church elder named Choi Jang Ro.
However, the pastor failed to manipulate Kim Min Chul after he accidentally discovered his secret including his past activities.
Apart from Uhm Tae Goo and Han Sun Hwa, the Save Me 2 cast includes Esom, Kim Young Min, and veteran actor Chun Ho Jin.
Current and Upcoming Projects for Uhm Tae Goo and Han Sun Hwa
Besides the duo’s upcoming project with JTBC, Han Sun Hwa has wrapped up her first K-drama in 2022 after landing a supporting role in Why Her? starring Seo Hyun Jin.
Interestingly, she will be returning for Work Later, Drink Now Season 2, reprising her role as yoga instructor Han Ji Yeon.
Besides her, co-stars Lee Sun Bin, Jung Eun Ji, and Choi Siwon will also join the upcoming sequel, which will premiere this 2022.
As for Uhm Tae Goo, The Woman Who Plays will be his return to the small screen after Hometown and a guest appearance in Dr. Brain.
