Things take a dark turn in Episode 10 of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. Makoto and Mio are brought to the Forest Ogre Village by Eris and Aqua to talk to the elders. Something suspicious seems to be lurking around these creatures.

Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Episode 10 Recap
Makoto and Mio successfully defeat Eris and Aqua. Makoto explains what he intends to do in the forest, so Eris and Aqua take them to the Forest Ogre Village to meet the elders. At the meeting, they meet Nilgistori, the representative of the elders. They also meet Adono, Nilgistori's son, who seems to be greatly suspicious of Makoto. After the meeting, Eris and Aqua tell Makoto and Mio that the village has decided to hold a feast for them to apologize. In the meantime, Eris and Aqua introduce them to their master, Mondo.
Makoto asks Mio to investigate Adono and Mondo. She gets excited over the thought of being a spy, which she saw in Makoto's memories. Yet, at the same time, she noticed that Makoto isn't in the best mental state, which concerns her. It looks like Adono has some connection with demons, while Mondo is possessed by something.
At the feast, Makoto notices Mondo and Adono talking to each other. A skeletal creature emerges out of Mondo, consuming Adono. Makoto confronts the creature, confirming that the creature is a lich. The two battle and Makoto successfully subdues him. The ogres are surprised by Makoto's abilities and reveal that they were even planning to execute him. Tomoe shows up, and it turns out that Nilgistori begged for her to create a barrier around the village when she was still Shen, the dragon.
Back at the demiplane, Makoto asks the lich some questions. The lich says that he wants to become a grant, which is a high-ranking hyuman. After Tomoe confronts the lich, they find out that the lich is familiar with the possibility of traveling through other worlds. Tomoe clarifies that grants are the ones who have successfully traveled to another world. She explains that it's possible to travel between different worlds—even so, the chances of survival are incredibly low.
Since Makoto wants to learn about magic, she suggests to Makoto that he and the lich form a contract. Following the formation of the contract, there is a sudden explosion. Tomoe apologizes to Makoto and says that she's made a mistake—she falls to the ground with blood on her face.
