The Japanese manga, Trillion Game, has been adapted into a live-action series and got picked up by Netflix. With its success, many are already looking forward to a Trillion Game Season 2. The big question though is, will there be one?
The show made its debut on Netflix on October 21, 2023. But before that, the show made its premiere on a Japanese TV channel, TBS. The show aired from July 14 to September 15, 2023.
Here's what we know about the show's future.
When is Trillion Game Season 2 Coming Out?
The live-action adaptation of Trillion Game has not yet been renewed for a second season at this time. So there's still no announcement on when the show could return.
But it's important to note that the manga has a total of seven volumes to date. This means that there's plenty of material to use for succeeding seasons.
If the show's producers decide to follow the success of the show with a second season, they'll likely use the next manga volume as the source for the show.
What Will Happen in Trillion Game Season 2?
Riichiro Inagaki wrote the manga series Trillion Game. It was illustrated by Ryoichi Ikegami.
As of this writing, the series already released seven volumes. These were released on the following dates:
- Volume 1: March 30, 2021
- Volume 2: August 4, 2021
- Volume 3: January 4, 2022
- Volume 4: May 30, 2022
- Volume 5: September 30, 2022
- Volume 6: January 30, 2023
- Volume 7: June 30, 2023
Having said this, it's likely that the show will use the material from succeeding manga volumes in the future. So if a second season gets renewed, the events from the manga's second volume could be the story behind the show.
It's important to note, however, that the manga has not yet been translated into English. This is quite a surprise considering the manga achieved immense success in Japan.

Who Stars in Trillion Game Season 2?
Since Trillion Game Season 2 has not yet been announced, we don't know for sure which characters will be back to reprise their roles. But if the show follows the manga series, we'd like to see the two main characters return for a succeeding season:
- Ren Meguro as Haru Tennōji
- Hayato Sano as Gaku
- Jun Kunimura as Kazuma Kokuryu
- Mio Imada as Kirika Kokuryu
- Terunosuke Takezai as Tadanori Nagase
- Akari Akase as Fuka Mizuki
