Trigun Stampede Anime Drops First Trailer, Key Visual, and More


Trigun has announced a new anime is coming next year. The first trailer and key visual for Trigun Stampede have been revealed at Anime Expo 2022. In addition to that, the voice cast and staff have been announced!

The new anime was announced during the Trigun panel at Anime Expo 2022 on Saturday, July 2, 2022. The trailer opens with a younger version of Vash the Stampede and his twin brother Million Knives, teasing their origins and how they ended up being estranged from each other.

In addition to the teaser, Trigun Stampede dropped awesome key visuals featuring a cheeky Vash and one with a cool warning. Check it out below.

Trigun Stampede is set to be a new adaptation of the manga by Yasuhiro Nightow and is being produced by TOHO Animation and Orange. Kenji Mutou is directing the anime while Kouji Tajima serves as the concept designer and is credited with the character concept.

The voice cast is as follows:

  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Vash the Stampede
  • Junya Ikeda as Million Knives
  • Tomoyo Kurosawa as Young Vash
  • Yumiri Hanamori as Young Knives
  • Maaya Sakamoto as Rem Saverem

The first Trigun anime consist of 26 episodes and aired in 1998. The franchise's most recent anime feature was a film titled Trigun: Badlands Rumble which was released in 2010. With that in mind, it's been a long wait for a new adaptation and we can't wait to learn more about Trigun Stampede soon.

The Trigun manga is set in the planet No Man's Land and follows Vash the Stampede, a famous gunman who is constantly fighting bounty hunters seeking to obtain the immense bounty on his head.

For now, Trigun Stampede has not yet been given an official release date. However, the anime is already expected to premiere sometime in 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
