Created by Kazutaka Kodaka, Tribe Nine is a Japanese multimedia franchise that has a video game developed by Too Kyo Games. It was also confirmed to have an anime version and a webtoon. The video game was first announced in 2020. It has been confirmed that Akatsuki will be publishing it with Too Kyo Games in charge of developing the game.

By September 2021, fans got an update that the game would be a 3D action-role playing game fit for smartphones. The anime, on the other hand, will be produced by Liden Films. It will be directed by Yu Aoki, written by Michiko Yokote, and designed by Rui Komatsuzaki and Simadoriru. The team will be joined by Yosuke Yabumoto who will adapt the designs to animation and Masafumi Takada who will compose the music.

Tribe Nine Episode 1 Details

The first episode will be released on January 10, 2022, at 8:30 AM US EST. The episode will be available on Tokyo MX and other channels. Those who do not have access to these channels can stream the episodes on Funimation. The streaming site co-produced the series and will release the show on its platform.

For those who are new to the site, they can try the free trial period of Funimation. This period will allow viewers to stream their preferred shows like Tribe Nine for free. But after the said period, they must register to continue watching. The streaming platform has a monthly payment of $5.99 per month. They also have the option to pay a yearly rate of $59.99.

Once they become members, they can get access to the site’s anime and manga libraries and enjoy ad-free shows. Members can also enjoy simulcasts one hour after Japan. This feature is not available during the free trial period.

Tribe Nine follows Haru Shirogane who was a weak-minded person. The story will also focus on Taiga who traveled the world to become the strongest man alive. The two met up with Shun Kamiya, who was known to be the strongest baseball player. Through their meet-up, they discovered that all Tribes around Neo-Tokyo are facing a huge threat.
