Toonami Announces Surprising New Line Up Starting June

It looks like Toonami is in for some major changes this June. The Adult Swim programming block has just revealed its new lineup starting next month and Dragon Ball fans might not be too pleased.

Dragon Ball Super has been the first anime in the Toonami lineup for a long time. However, the programming block will be changing things up starting in June. My Hero Academia Season 5 is now expected to lead the lineup followed by Dr Stone. Interestingly, Dragon Ball Super is now the final anime to air.

It's no surprise that My Hero Academia Season 5 is taking the lead in the lineup. After all, there are fresh episodes being released right now while Dragon Ball Super has been mostly re-run. With that in mind, Toonami is prioritizing newer content.

This isn't the first time that My Hero Academia has led the Toonami lineup. However, the schedule had previously ensured that it was immediately followed by Dragon Ball Super. With Dragon Ball being so far behind, there is a possibility that fans will be displeased. For now, we'll have to wait and see how the lineup turns out.

The Toonami June 2021 lineup is as follows:

12:00 AM - My Hero Academia
12:30 AM - Dr Stone
1:00 AM - Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma
1:30 AM - The Promised Neverland
2:00 AM - Black Clover
2:30 AM - Naruto: Shippuden
3:00 AM - Attack on Titan
3:30 AM - Dragon Ball Super

What do you think of the new Toonami lineup starting June? Would it be better if Dragon Ball Super didn't have to air so late? Sound off in the comments below.
