Tom Holland was 'Terrified' of Alfred Molina's Doc Ock

Working with Alfred Molina must be an awesome experience for any actor. Not surprisingly, it's a great opportunity for Tom Holland, who worked with the veteran actor in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Interestingly, it's also a strange experience for the Avengers: Endgame star who recently admitted to being terrified of Doctor Octopus when he first watched Spider-Man 2.

Molina first played Doctor Otto Octavius in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 which was released back in 2004. Holland was just a child when the sequel was released and it's no surprise that Molina's version of the villain left a lasting impression on him.

Holland recently spoke to Empire magazine as part of the publication's special Spider-Man: No Way Home issue. In the issue, the Avengers: Infinity War star admitted to being "obsessed" with Raimi's films. Holland then shared that Molina seemed so scary when he first saw Doc Ock when he was only eight years old.

"I remember seeing Alfred in his costume for the first time, and he had the glasses on, and he was wearing his belt, which is what the legs were attached to. And I remember, as I kid, being terrified of him," Holland said.

It's no surprise that the young Holland was frightened of Molina. After all, the Frida actor gave an excellent performance as Doc Ock in the movie. Amazingly, Holland now has the opportunity to go up against Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 3.
