Tom Felton, who has always been supportive of every step of development related to the Wizarding World, even in his post-Hogwarts career, has sent word to Lox Pratt, who will be playing the young Draco Malfoy in HBO's upcoming Harry Potter reboot. Here's what he told him.
Tom Felton's Advice to Harry Potter Reboot Star Lox Pratt

Tom Felton's Draco Malfoy is one of the most difficult shoes to fill, even in a reboot. Considering that Harry Potter is one of Warner Bros.'s biggest IPs, there's no doubt that there's pressure among the newly cast members of the reboot. But no worries. Felton had it covered.
In a new interview on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Podcast, Felton revealed that he, like his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, sent the next Harry Potter generation a note of "words of encouragement", seeing as they were about to take the torch.
"I've sent word, yes," Felton told Horowitz, having reached out to Lox Pratt, who is set to play Draco Malfoy in the reboot, "I think it's really important. It's very different — we were entering things that don't exist; there's quite a lot of weight now. So the last thing I'm gonna do is offer anything other than say, 'Here's my phone number. Here's my address.' To his parents, as well as him, and to anyone else there."
Felton also tried to "steer clear" of giving advice to Pratt since "this is your journey" and he wanted Pratt and the rest of the cast to "have as much as possible, take as many pictures as you can, steal as many props as you can — they'll be worth a fortune."
Lox Pratt will not only be featuring the same Draco we saw in the original movie franchise, but a more in-depth take on what goes on beyond the walls of the Malfoys. As promised, the reboot hopes to fulfill fans' wishes of a more faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling's novel series.
What to Expect Differently From HBO's Harry Potter Reboot Series
Potterheads were adamant on putting a stop to rebooting the Harry Potter franchise, considering the short lifetime it's lived after finishing the seven books. However, one thing's for sure: the series, at least based on the first teaser trailer, is going at a different pace that includes more scenes adapted straight from the pages.
Apart from a deeper characterization of Draco Malfoy, the reboot is expected to show Hermione's S.P.E.W. campaign (the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare), in which Granger discovers the mistreatment of house-elves and tries to make a movement of her own to protect them and their rights.
As seen from the trailer, too, the Dursleys are more vicious towards the Boy Who Lived. You think Dudley, Petunia, and Vernon in the movie franchise were bad? The reboot might shock you further from how tragic and truly terrible Harry had to endure in his early years of being an orphan.
In the meantime, fans will have to wait until Christmas 2026 to see HBO's Harry Potter reboot premiere. Stay tuned!
