Titans Showrunner Teases How Iain Glen's Bruce Wayne Will Be Different In DC Universe Series

We've seen so many different versions of Bruce Wayne both in film and TV. But how will the Caped Crusader be different in Titans Season 2? Showrunner Greg Walker has just discussed how Iain Glen's portrayal of Batman will be refreshingly unique in the DC Universe series.

Walker recently spoke to io9 about the second chapter of Titans which will introduce the former Game of Thrones star as an older Bruce. Interestingly, the showrunner confirmed that Bruce has changed after all those years of being a vigilante.

"Here's my line about Bruce Wayne. He's awesome at being Batman and terrible at being Bruce Wayne. As he's gotten older, he's gained an appreciation for the fact that your relationships to other people are really what matter in life and he wants to repair the broken dynamic he had with Dick. But he's underskilled in that area. He has to figure out how to do it," he said.

Not surprisingly, Walker also praised Glen for his performance in the show.

"[Glen] brings a vulnerability and a strength to his performance that's really amazing and graceful. That's the space I was most interested in getting into as a writer, because I feel like there hasn't been a ton of work done in that area especially in the live-action space," he said.

We already know that Glen is in the first episode of the second season and although it might be his only appearance, we're hoping that the series will give us a pleasant surprise again soon.

The premiere episode of Titans Season 2 is titled Trigon and is currently streaming on DC Universe.
