Titans Season 2 Bruce Wayne Casting Could Lead To Batman Beyond Spinoff Starring Iain Glen

In case you missed it, Titans Season 2 has found its Bruce Wayne and it is none other than Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen. Not surprisingly, the casting of the veteran actor has led to speculations that DC Universe is currently planning to develop a spin-off live-action series based on the animated show Batman Beyond.

It was previously reported that Glen would be taking on the role of Bruce Wayne in the second half of Titans. Fans have also found footage of Glen with Brenton Thwaites filming for the highly anticipated Season 2. Interestingly, it looks like Bruce is advising Dick Grayson in the scene, something that he has repeatedly done with Terry McGinnis in the Batman Beyond animated series.

So what are the chances that a Batman Beyond spin-off series is being planned? The casting of Glen certainly had people raising their eyebrows. As ScreenRant points out, the 57-year-old Resident Evil star is the oldest actor to play the Caped Crusader (other than voice actor Kevin Conroy, of course). Although it's possible that Titans will try to make Glen appear a little younger than his actual age, it's easy to imagine how he could portray an older Bruce mentoring a new Batman.

Glen is also in the clear if he wants to take on a leading role in a new series. After playing major character Jorah Mormont for eight seasons of Game of Thrones, he can now take on the starring role in a new show. In addition to that, Glen can still do action scenes without any problem.

We're certainly hoping for a Batman Beyond live-action series but that has yet to be announced by DC Universe. For now, we would recommend taking this with a grain of salt.

Titans Season 2 is expected to premiere on DC Universe this fall.
