Before he was sentenced to prison, Tiny had a child. And it was because of his time behind bars that led him to be separated from his child.

Because he liked the idea of Sheriff Eric Higgins, Tiny was fully on board with the experiment. This led him to befriend Randy "True Story" Randall. Despite this alliance, he wanted to keep the peace given to him.

To ensure that the experiment would not get shut down, Tiny made sure to call out things that weren't being followed. In one scene, he got into an altercation with True Story since his phone calls to his son were unanswered.

When a 24-hour lockdown was imposed because of a brawl involving other convicts, Tiny grew concerned that his son would be disappointed at missing the call.
