In case you missed it, Marvel Studios is finally pulling the trigger on a film featuring the elite group of villains known as the Thunderbolts. The studio first teased the formation of the group in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Black Widow and so far, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine has already recruited John Walker and Yelena Belova to the team.
Now, a new leak might have just spilled the beans regarding the supervillain group's other core members and one of them definitely comes as a huge surprise. According to a report from Deadline Hollywood, the Jake Schreier-directed project is expected to include characters like Baron Zemo, Ghost, Taskmaster, The Abomination, and shockingly enough, Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier.

Sure, Bucky is already no stranger to being presented as a villain in the MCU but the character's entire journey in the billion-dollar franchise has been centered on redemption and making amends for his past mistakes. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier offered the former Hydra assassin vindication and he is now free from the nightmares of his past.
At this point, I just don't see Bucky turning to a life of villainy anew but hey, Marvel Studios has pulled some jaw-dropping surprises in the past.
The release date for Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, you can stream all episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+.
